Worker Bee

Yet another day is upon us. I'm trying real hard to come up with some stuff for this SLAM next weekend, its coming but I've been out of the scene for a little while so my creative side seems to be a bit rusty....as a matter of fact I should probably go ahead and get to writing some more now...I will return a little later.

Oh Ive missed you

Its been quite a while since I was here, to say the least, I have been busy. Ill take it from the top and try to keep it swift

Work. Work is going great these days, the confidence is brewing a little and Im feeling the waters shaking, I find it amazing how much more you can like something when you start to do well at it. On a side note, I am looking for a little part time job at the Apple store, so I can get an Iphone and Mac for cheap(but thats another post altogether).

The Lady. As always is doing remarkably well, thank you for asking, she sends her regards. Just last week we went to Richmond to take a look at their SLAM poetry team qualifier. A poetry slam is... I used to do quite a few back in college however over the years I have gotten away from it, in any event I think my writers block is coming to and end and I'll be trying to make the Richmond team over the next few months. More on this as it comes...

My mother has found someone from her church to help better assist me with my relationship with God. I am looking forward to this, again more on this as it too comes...

Then of course a very glorious thing happened this past Sunday, when my New York Giants(also a Mets, Knicks, Rangers, and Red Bulls fan ((thats the New York soccer team name not the drinks, however I do love the drink) for future refrence) please feel free to re read, as I did manage to double parenthesize that for no reason, where was I? OHHH the Giants! that's right, Superbowl bound against the undefeated Patriots. What an amazing time to be a Giants fan, if we win this thing it will always be remembered the year the Patriots went 18-0 and lost the last game. When will this ever happen again, and in the off chance it does, when will it get to be your team trying to spoil perfection. Ahh my heart is filled with glee, and yes I did just type that.

mid day report

Working from the home office right now. For whatever reason its so much easier to stay focused at home. Yeah I'm sure that reads..."oh the joy of being lazy at home". When in reality I just like to be in total control of my environment, temperature, sitting style, tv on/off, channel, music. Also I tune out all the extra phone calls, the extra sidebar chit chats and can just work my lists. To think how much I love being out and about, I'm starting to notice I may not need a Goose to my Maverick, when it comes to working.

In any event the year's finally looking like its headed in the right direction, the phone's starting to ring a little more in the office and it looks like the fish should start at least nibbling soon. The magazine thing went surprisingly well. The concept for the magazine is more or less a guide to the local nightlife scene. I was wondered about how diverse a pool of writers would show up to contribute. When I got there it was great to see that we had white young lady from Ohio, an Asian young man from California, and another black young man from Norfolk. I was pretty impressed with all their input, ideas, creativity etc. Very impressed, as a matter of fact. Again however, more details to come with that, as the more important it becomes.

I guess I should take a second to introduce some key people in my world I may make refrence to. None of which by name since the internet is so wierd these day, I'd hate to have my girlfriend's roomate head in a microwave cause some sicko looked her up on facebook. (or something to that effect). In no particular order, you have, my mother, who I love she often gives just a hair of extra advice on any given topic, but done with love. My stepfather, who is also my supervisor, and a man I have great respect for. Two little sisters, one will be in high school next year, the other in middle school next year. Both of which are beautiful, which scares me none, however it should send a shudder down many their potential suitors to think the fury i will impose should they ever wrong them. I've got a decent amount of buddies who I'm sure I'll refrence when needed. Then of course, there is my girlfriend, a remarkable young lady who is bound to be the topic of a posting or two along the way. She lives lives 2 hours away and is in her last year of schooling at the University of Virginia's School of Interventional Radiology. Read: she saves lives, and later downplays her intelligence for the sake of others.

Yeah those are the main characters and I'd love to write more but I think its nap time

the weather channel

7:30 am and all thats on my mind is the weather. Mid 70's on Monday, here it is Friday and a high of 44 is predicted. Personally I like to gauge my energy output based on the sun's. For example on a 78 degree day I might be inclined to give 78 percent of myself to whatever tasks may lie ahead of me that day. I just let the sun establish a good lead and I just keep pace, he's like my jogging partner. God, did make the sun first "let there be light" and it's been around through it all. ALL THE PLANETS ORBIT IT, need I type in caps anymore? I rest my case, go off the sun, it will lead to good things. With that being said...there's a high of 44 today, maybe I do deserve to sleep in today.
